A LETTER FROM BERNADETTE PELISSIER
Dear fellow Orange County citizens,
Orange County is the community where I raised my two children, now 27 and 31. My service on various boards over the past 20 years has led me to become ever more committed to our local community. It is a natural next step for me to run as County Commissioner.
I feel very passionate about the well-being of Orange County and its citizens. I want a good quality of life for all of us and for our children. I want this community to have a vibrant economy, maintain its natural resources for our children and grandchildren and ensure social justice and a sense of belonging for all.
I have the passion and energy to fulfill this commitment. I bring to the Board of County Commissioners many years of experience in directing and administering complex social science projects and managing a multi-million dollar budget. I also bring experience in providing leadership as Chair of the OWASA Board during the 2001-2002 drought. My social science skills allow me to see the big picture and understand the relationships between the various sectors of our community. My experience in living overseas taught me the need to understand others and find the common values we all share.
I am honored to be the Democratic nominee for the at-large seat on the Orange County Commissioner board. I count on all of you to show your trust in me to make good decisions for the county by voting for me on November 4th.
